Transitive: A Transitive action verb needs to transfer it's action to something or someone-an object. When identifying transitive ask "who or what after the action verb?"
Intransitive: An Intransitive action verb is opposite, it does not require an object to act upon.
Example #1 (Transitive) - Please bring coffee. --> bring is the transitive action verb.
Example #2 (Intransitive) - The dog ran. --> ran is the action verb. No object after the action verb makes run an Intransitive action verb.
